Pears and pear sauce

Is the number 7 a lucky number? I don't really believe in luck, but we happened to can 7 quarts of pears and have enough fruit left over to make 7 half pints of pear sauce. In the deep dark of Winter, we will really appreciate opening any one of these jars to add flavor to a meal.
