On this day we canned a 7 Quart batch of pears, and made a pear sauce out of the rest of the fruit. These 1/2 pint jars are handy to add to other cooking. Some will be added to my 'quart' size loaves of cornbread, which I 'bake' in a crock pot. Others will be used to glaze a pork roast, or to add flavor in a poultry stuffing.
