Young Early Jersey Wakefield

You can see the arrowhead shape of my Early Jersey Wakefield Cabbage. More mature heads will be more solid. I will be eating fresh cabbage from this early planting for more than a month in early Summer. Fully mature heads will keep in a refrigerator crisper or root cellar for at least a few weeks after that. For long term storage or kraut, I plant our Late Flat Dutch 'Winter' cabbage.
