We do not produce Onion seeds. They cross pollinate with wild plants at our farm. Onion seed does not store for long term use either, it is only good for one year, and onion seeds will not germinate well by the second year. What I do grow for our own table is Copra Onions because they keep all winter long in storage. They were my Grampa Neff's favorite too. I can remember the huge racks he used to dry them. I buy Copra Onions as transplants, and set them out in the early Spring. In this May 2011 photo, they are growing well.
