By using two steam canners at the same time, one person was able to process four batches of jars in a little over an hour. It took far longer than that for three to peel and cut up the apples for this large batch! It is handy to have two timers like the one shown in the center of this photo, one for each canner. The first canner had processed about 10 minutes when the second was making steam and ready to start the other timer.
