Center of our main Vegetable garden ready for Winter

The row to the left still has mature beets we pull as we eat them. Near the center is a row with later planted beets growing fine. Off to the right are strawberries mulched with straw. In a small home garden you would pull all the weeds by hand. On the scale we grow we cultivate with small garden tractors and hand weed between crops in the rows until they are mature. All the open ground in this photo was just planted with oats and crimson clover as a Winter cover crop and disk harrowed in.
