This is one way we set up for fire place cooking. The Rumford Fireplace has angled sides to reflect heat out into the room. The heavy tripod from Agri-Supply supports a replacement Weber charcoal grill for a pot. For a Fire Back I use a huge Military Surplus griddle. By angling the wood like one side of a Tee Pee we get a hot fire with lots of flames to heat and light the room. Under the fire and ashes is another griddle which not only protects the brick, it heats up and reflects the heat back toward the fire like the one against the back wall of the fire place. Both are improvements for the efficient Rumford Fire Place.
