The aluminum Pressure canner on the left is processing the 4 pints of beans while the stainless steel pressure cooker on the right has been fitted with a tight fitting glass lid and the remaining beans are being slowly simmered. The measuring cup in the center has the last of the liquid from cooking the beans to add to the slow cooking ones if needed. Tonight we will have beans for supper, and four times next summer, or in a few years we can just open a jar of our own home made and home canned beans to eat!
