This is large enough for 6 bushels of ears of dry corn from the garden. Each half bushel basket takes about 5 square feet of space at first. As the cobs shrink, a bit less area is needed. As you can see, I just used the two sections from an extension ladder to support the weight. The space between the rails was too wide for the one inch chicken wire netting, so I bought 4 ten foot lengths of 3/4 inch PVC conduit and connected the pairs end to end. To keep them in place, I used electrical tape. The wire is stapled to the small board at the end close to the camera. Then it was unrolled and tied down at the far end. This made a simple and cheap rack mostly out of what I had on hand. The wire will be rolled back up for next year, and the PVC conduit and ladder put away.
