Collecting and filtering sap

By using a nylon mesh bag, intended for straining paint in a 5 gallon bucket, we can filter out any leaves or debris while pouring the sap bucket into the small food grade barrel. The opening on the filter bag has an elastic to hold it in place around the outside edge of the barrel opening. I really needed my strong adult children to carry all the sap and get it into the boiling pan.
