Three cups of corn ground into meal, and some hot water made this hearty Skillet Cornbread in our kitchen wood fired range. It took me only 5 minutes to grind the 3 cups of corn in the Quaker City Mill, a minute or so to mix in the hot water and form a thick batter. In a preheated skillet I added peanut oil, and scooped the batter in. Baked in a hot oven, it was cooked in about 30 minutes. This is my idea of fast food!
