6 week Squash Plants
Our Waltham Butternut Squash plants are 6 weeks old in this late June photo. The hills are 6 feet across, and the leaves measure as much as 18 inches wide. The soil has had plenty of time to warm up, and I recently finished mulching the plants with straw. Strong healthy plants like this promise a bountiful harvest in the Fall!
