The angled blades under the attachment dig deeply and thoroughly grind garden soil into a fine seed bed. The soil must not be too wet or too dry. It can also throw soil on top of rows to hill potatoes. It makes a furrow like a moldboard plow but the soil is ready for planting in one pass in the garden. When plowing grass you may need to make two passes. This year after the strawberry harvest I will transplant the berries to a new bed and grind up all the weeds which were in the old bed.
