We picked our pears a couple weeks ago and kept them cool to ripen. Today we can them by the cold pack method. From left to right is a white plastic board on the counter where the jars are packed and topped off with a light syrup. On the stove is a Maslin pan to heat the syrup and a Steam Canner to process it. To the right on the counter is a board cooling rack for the jars. Notice the tongs for lifting them out of the canner.
