After squirrels ate too much of the fruit on our back yard peach trees, we moved this small one inside the fenced garden. In this view to the east you cannot see another smaller peach tree behind it. In the next few years we will again have all the peaches we want to can or make jam out of. We have three cats inside this fenced garden and so far the squirrels are afraid to enter. The hardy peach trees we grow are not long lived, so we plant at least one new one every few years to maintain a good harvest. Note our tall trees surrounding our open land on all sides.
