Early Crops Planted in March

Our Garden soil dried out very early this year so I took advantage of that and planted the early crops. I am glad I did because we had a very rainy Spring and it was never dry enough in time to plant early crops again. In these rows are Lettuce, Spinach and peas. To the left are hills of crops which will send out long runners. Squash, Pumpkin and Cucumbers. Those runners will spread into the grass on one side and into the garden after the early crops are harvested. Mulched with Straw to keep down weeds and to keep the fruits off the soil.
