Strawberry and Cabbage Plants

The row of Strawberry plants on the left were transplanted from our old bed last year. They survived the Winter well and will grow and bear some fruit this year. To promote drainage, the soil has been mounded up for this row. I have been hoeing around the plants and later they will be mulched with straw. Next year we should have a bumper crop to harvest. The row on the right is the Cabbage family plants I started inside back in the Winter. They were set out recently and are off to a very good start.
