Viewed from the other side of the work area closest to the camera is the Maslin Pan. A special type of stainless steel pan with an unusually thick aluminum clad bottom and tapered sides. It was designed for candy making, but is perfect for cooking foods just before moving into canning jars. It also is excellent for processing fruits into Jams and Jellies. To the right is our Steam Canner where the filled jars are processed. Not shown it the photo is the counter work area where I fill the hot jars next to the Maslin Pan.
