The corn is off to a good start in this June photo. Our modified Wheel Horse Garden tractor can easily drive over the rows to cultivate both sides. Just before the corn is too tall, it will be side dressed on both sides with fertilizer and tilled in by the tractor.Sometimes we broadcast a cover crop of Rye in at that time too. Then there is not much to do for the corn until harvest in the Fall.If you look closely there are scattered spikes of the cover crop of Rye we planted last year here and there.
