These are two containers of dried mint leaves. If you look very closely, you may be able to read the date of 2005 on the label of the jar on the right. Once dry, herbs keep for many years when protected from moisture, heat and light. The jars are shown here only for photographing. Normally they are stored inside a dark cabinet. You can also see a bit of the new mint hung above the jars to dry.
