Molasses and spices are added
For Boston Style Baked Beans I add 1/2 tsp. of dry mustard and 1/4 tsp. of Ginger to 1/2 cup of Molasses and stir well. It would be hard to stir the spices into the cooked beans without breaking them. This recipe started with soaking 2 cups of dry beans.
