Corn Stalks and Silk

This is a close up of the red and green stalks of our Indian Corn. The ears and silk are just forming now in early August. The American Indians certainly grew corn to eat, not as decorations. After harvesting the ears, I tie together arms full of colorful corn stalks like these to be sold at my Church Fair.
